Question 1. What was your most memorable weather event?

So many… The New England Blizzard of 1978 & Hurricane David in 1979 got me fascinated with weather. Hurricane Gloria in 1985, Hurricane Bob in 1991, and the Perfect Storm of 1991 soon after were wild events to be near the ocean for.

Question 2. What is your favourite and least favourite type of weather?

Severe thunderstorms and big snow events are my favourite events to forecast and experience. Freezing rain, fog, and drizzle are by far my least favourite since they are so dangerous.

Question 3. If you weren’t a meteorologist what would you most like to be?

Sports announcing either as a public address announcer or colour analyst on the radio. I have done both on the side and totally enjoy it.

Question 4. From a purely meteorological point of view, where would you most like to live?

I live in Maine, and have for all but three months of my life. It is always exciting here. I am right where I want to be.

Question 5. Is there anything else you’d like to share?

I am very grateful to have the opportunity to share my passion for both weather and photography for the state of Maine. I feel deeply honoured to be recognised by StormHour for the work that I do. It’s great that my work is not only appreciated locally but internationally.
